The UAE is an economic power that attracts strategic partnerships

The relationship between the UAE and the United States can be classified as one of the well-established strategic relations, to the extent that it has become an example of diplomatic relations between countries and has become the largest Arab investor in the American markets, just as the UAE is the largest market in the Middle East that receives exports from Washington.

Before diving into the numbers that were recorded mid 2023, we must point out that the bilateral relations between the UAE and the United States, despite having experienced some tensions during the past five decades, have remained solid, regardless changes in US administrations based on the UAE’s influential role across all levels.

The UAE established itself not only as a regional leader, but more importantly as a global one. Such power caused Washington to reconcile its relationship and restore its partnership with Abu Dhabi, resulting in an expanded strategic partnership and reaffirmed by the numbers issued by the competent departments in both countries.

This includes all areas of bilateral trade exchange, mutual investments, as well as the UAE-American cooperation in the industrial, economic and defense areas.

It should be noted that the reason behind such success is because of the development of economic, diplomatic, and strategic relations based on engraved principles and understanding and respect of mutual interests of both countries sharing similar values.

The development evident in the UAE has proven that it has one of the most innovative economies in the world. Previous figures released in 2020, the year of the outbreak of the Corona pandemic, revealed that non-oil trade exchange between the UAE and the United States amounted to about $17.83 billion, compared to $5.22 billion in 2005.

Also, the UAE has been keen, during the past two decades, to establish strategic partnerships with emerging economies in the world, as the UAE possesses advanced and developed expertise in all fields, and it is taking steady and confident steps towards building a competitive economy based on proven economic theories and expertise.

Numbers do not lie, thus the latest reports from the US Department of Commerce revealed the growth in the trade exchange between the UAE and the United States of America, exceeded $15.4 billion (56.57 billion dirhams) during the first half of 2023, a significant increase from previous year’s figures for the same period, which was $12.9 billion (47.38 billion dirhams).

Accordingly, those numbers reassured the UAE and the US that they must strengthen their historic relations even further to achieve new heights.
