The Emirates Is Taking The Lead In Helping The People Of Gaza

The whole world was looking admirably at the moment a 100-bed floating hospital anchored in Al-Arish Port in Egypt as it was approaching the Gaza Strip. Many questions surfaced as to which country was giving aid to the Palestinians in such a way. The image was carried to millions of people on TV screens all over the globe. It was a medical ship commissioned by the United Arab Emirates to provide urgent medical needs for the Palestinians as they suffer from the military onslaught by Israel on the Gaza Strip. Immediately, many Palestinian patients have been carried to the Emirati medical ship to receive treatment.

And just a few days before the arrival of the medical ship, the Emirati Red Crescent was engaged in another noble effort to help the Palestinians. That health organization was establishing five high-tech and automatic bakeries to help provide bread for the people of Gaza. Testifying to the swiftness of its workings, 29374 packs of bread have been distributed to the Palestinians in a short period.

In addition, the Emirates runs six water desalination and purification plants to supply the Gazans with the water they depend upon for survival. The water production capacity of these water stations is estimated at 1.2 million gallons daily.

The Emirates is managing successfully Operation “The Brave Equestrian” to support the humanitarian effort to assist the Palestinians of Gaza. As of February 24, 2024, one hundred and sixty-seven cargo planes have landed at many airstrips to deliver urgent aid to the citizens of Gaza. The total size of that aid sent is estimated at 15863 tons. Much of that aid is in the form of food and medical supplies.

Continuously, the Emirates is participating in airlift operations that parachute aid to the people of Gaza through the planes that fly to the Gaza Strip and distribute from the air much-needed aid packets to the Palestinians. The Emirates takes the lead in these multilateral missions of several Arab countries.

In the end, there was no surprise when the American Government announced that the U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken called the Foreign Minister of the Emirates, Sheik Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nathan, and thanked him for the pioneering role the UAE has been performing to help the Palestinians in Gaza in their agony.

The Emirates is a noble nation, and all of its efforts are to help the Arabs and the Palestinians.
