The meeting between the Emirate’s Minister of Justice and the American Ambassador to the UAE is a step in the right direction. It will ensure a periodic review of the two countries’ agreement in 2022 known as Bilateral Agreement Enhancing Law Enforcement Cooperation.
The United States’ judicial cooperation with the Emirates is necessary in the age of globalization. Each nation of them is a financial powerhouse. Therefore, they can cooperate in fighting money laundering and other financial crimes.
