His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, led the UAE delegation at the 81st UN General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, urging diplomacy and dialogue to address regional tensions. During High-Level Week, senior UAE officials engaged with US and international partners to strengthen cooperation, support stable global energy markets and promote the responsible development and use of AI.
Sheikh Abdullah joined a meeting convened by President Donald Trump with regional leaders alongside UNGA, underscoring the UAE-US strategic relationship as “founded on solid pillars of trust, mutual respect and shared interests.”

The UAE advanced preparations for the December 2026 UN Water Conference, which Abu Dhabi will co-host with Senegal. In addition, the Mohamed bin Zayed Water Initiative announced a water solutions partnership with Dalio Philanthropies, Imagine H2O and the XPRIZE Foundation.
