What’s new about the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) World Conference

The UAE confirmed that COP 28 would be a forum for finding sustainable solutions to climate change based on the Emirati vision and experience and in the context of strengthening the pivotal role of the UAE in climate neutrality, as the UAE paved the way for COP 28 and hosted youth leaders to learn about their vision.

It also hosted the “N7 initiative”, which dealt with food security and its impact due to the decline of agricultural lands and water scarcity in the world due to pollution and climate change. The UAE government, headed by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, said the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) World Conference will be hosted and organized in Abu Dhabi in 2025.

The task of organizing was entrusted to the Ministry of Climate Change and the Environment, in cooperation and partnership with the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi, to show the efforts of the UAE and its central role in protecting the environment and nature and to confirm its leadership in the field of environment and biological diversity.

The upcoming conference aims to enhance environmental protection. It is considered the most important international event in the area of preserving the environment and its components, as the meeting will be attended by approximately 10 thousand experts in the field of environment and clean energy from 160 countries in the world, and this is not strange for the Emirates, as it summarizes the world in it.

The UAE has a distinguished path in activating sustainable development. It has launched many initiatives within sustainable development and preserving the environment to enhance its position in the region and the world. Sustainable development and the environment see its movement as global.

Development and environmental preservation is a sustainable Emirati approach that the world should follow due to its distinction and comprehensiveness in all fields.
