On July 1, 2025, Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, officially joined the oneworld alliance as its fifteenth member airline, marking a significant milestone in its growth and global connectivity. This partnership not only strengthens Oman Air’s position in the international aviation market but also enhances the travel experience for passengers worldwide by offering seamless access to oneworld’s extensive network.
Oman Air’s inclusion in the oneworld alliance brings a fresh wave of opportunities for both the airline and its passengers. Based at its hub in Muscat International Airport, Oman Air operates flights to 42 destinations across 22 countries and territories, with a focus on the Middle East, South Asia, and Europe. Its addition to the alliance bolsters oneworld’s presence in the Gulf region, a critical hub for global air travel. This new route not only strengthens ties between Oman and Europe but also aligns with Oman Air’s broader strategy to expand its global footprint.
The Muscat-Amsterdam route is expected to appeal to both leisure and business travelers, offering a convenient connection to one of Europe’s most vibrant cultural and economic hubs. For oneworld passengers, this route adds another layer of connectivity, making it easier to explore the Middle East and beyond through Oman Air’s network.
