Ambassador Waltz and Ambassador Danon Tour Southern Border: “Israel Prepares for Next Phase: Demilitarization of Gaza and Disarmament of Hamas”

US Ambassador to the UN, Mike Waltz, and Israeli Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, toured Israel’s southern border today (Tuesday). As part of the tour, the ambassadors received an overview from the head of the humanitarian-civil effort in Gaza, Brigadier General Elad Goren, at the Kerem Shalom Crossing, on the humanitarian aid effort throughout the war.

The ambassadors then arrived at the Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC) headquarters in Kiryat Gat, where they received an operational update on the situation in the south and the readiness for further moves from MG Patrick Frank, ARCENT Commander, and the commander of the Coordination Command for the Gaza Strip, Maj. Gen. Yaki Dolf.

Ambassador Danon: “Israel is waiting for the release of Ran Gvili and we prepare for the next stage which includes the demilitarization of the Strip and the disarmament of Hamas.”
